Everything listed below got made sometime during the past two weeks. And, as I sit here right now, I honesty don't remember when. So let's pretend we followed the schedule below and just review the meals as listed!
Meal Plan Week #19-Sandwiches Galore!
Breakfasts all week: Fruit/cereal and/or strawberry creme' green monsters. Not sure yet.
Sunday: On my own
Sunday: On my own
Monday: Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwiches-recipe from our new Hungry Girl cookbook.
Sort of like making a calzone in your college apartment, but a nice alternative to a regular sandwich or even a regular grilled cheese. The crushed tomatoes (although we thought them to be sort of weird/gross) really make it.
Tuesday: Grilled Veggie Panini-recipe from our new Hungry Girl cookbook.
This one was very tasty. The combination of the grilled veggies and the Laughing Cow was a good one. And I doubled the LC when I grilled the leftovers veggies for a sandwich the next day at lunch, and that really made a difference.
Wednesday: Spicy Pasta Cucumber Salad
So good one picture wouldn't do it justice. Yes, this was an awesome dish--really great for an at-home Asian fix. Very fresh. Very tasty sauce on the noodles. And I have never--never--seen A. devour a dish so quickly. It was like watching myself in the mirror!!
Friday: Authentic Veggie Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza sent to us from Lesley.
Lou Malnati's shipped direct from Chicago to Mobile, AL. Enough said!
Saturday: breakfast-S'more Muffins; dinner-Date Night
My first attempt at homemade muffins. Well, we all have to start somewhere. I think my downfall was attempting to double the recipe. In doing so, I turned this muffins into scones... these puppies were DENSE. But the flavor was pretty good, so I chalk it up as a win.
Pick of the week:
A: Pepperoni Piza Grilled Cheese Sandwiches-I'm going with my inner child on this one. Combining pizza and grilled cheese-Genius!
T: Spicy Pasta Cucumber Salad-I'm assuming. T feel free to comment and change your choice.
Since we spread this over two weeks, both should be considered winners.
